The EBRD has a diverse workforce of over 3,000 people, working together on life-changing projects that foster the transition to more sustainable, competitive and inclusive economies in across Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
Our colleagues have diverse skill sets and cover many roles, from bankers and economists to IT specialists, lawyers, researchers, digitalisation experts and many more, each playing an important role in fulfilling our mission and mandate. Drawing on local knowledge and international experience, our teams combine financial expertise with policy engagement to help turn ambition into lasting results.
Headquartered in London in the heart of the Canary Wharf financial district, the EBRD has always believed in the value of a strong local presence. We have 36 Resident Offices in or close to all of the locations where we invest, enabling direct engagement and collaboration at local level. By working closely with businesses, financial institutions and public authorities on the ground, our colleagues help identify investment opportunities, support reforms and build the long-term partnerships that drive economic progress.
The EBRD offers a truly global working environment. Colleagues connect through a wide range of employee-led networks, events and initiatives that help to create an inclusive and supportive workplace and reflect the diversity that strengthens our organisation. These include the African-Caribbean Network, the disAbility network, the Young Professionals Network, the Asian Network, the EBRD Family Network and many more.
Our staff also come together to deliver highly impactful charitable fundraising through the EBRD’s Community Initiative, which supports local charities and philanthropic activities in our countries through matched giving.
